Board certification is a complex process that includes substantial involvement in family law over the past five years; over 45 hours of continuing legal education (CLE) specifically focused on family law; peer reviews attesting to the applicant’s character; and a comprehensive exam testing the applicant’s knowledge in family law practice and procedure.
